How comfortable are you about yourself? I'm sure you've heard about Dove's campaign for real beauty. (I am not in any way connected to Unilever!) I honestly thought that that was a really good campaign because it spoke about believing in oneself (one's abilities), more than what can be seen on the outside.
Anyway, I got this in the mail --
We all have a story to tell. A single mother trying to make it in a competitive workplace, a newly married woman finding her place outside the comforts of her own home, a single lady who is just starting to climb the corporate ladder, someone who is surviving a breakup, an illness, or just fell in love --- we all have a story to tell, and we'd certainly like to hear YOURS.
If you know anyone or if you think you yourself have a story worth sharing, let this be your venue. We'd like to feature women who exude true beauty inside & out, are independent, driven, passionate--- women who are in essence, comfortable in their own skin. And so as you dare to bare some skin, we also ask you to bare a part of your soul.
The Boudoir Dolls invites real women with real stories to submit their picture accompanied by a 250-word entry on how they celebrate true beauty. The top 10 entries will win a free photoshoot done by the Boudoir Dolls themselves and will be featured in our website for the final voting on who best shows what it is to be comfortable in your own skin.
Just email : theboudoirdolls@gmail.com with "Comfortable in Your Own Skin" as the subject. Deadline of entries is on Feb 15, 2011. Choosing of entries will be on Feb 20, 2010. Winners will be notified via email & a photoshoot will be scheduled for a day of clean sexy fun.
We believe that beauty goes beyond skin deep and we are here to capture its true essence on camera.
Dare to bare and be an inspiration for women out there.
xoxo

=====================================
And I totally agree! All women have a story to tell, and it can empower others! If you are up to it, I would encourage you to join this contest. The women photographers behind The Boudoir Dolls are amazing! They are very professional, they know what your good angles are, and the best thing --- the photos they take need not be edited (i.e., cropped) anymore. You guys gotta see it to believe it!
Here are their names and the links to their sites Shayla Sanchez, Arlene Briones and Danielle Tan.
So if you are looking for something to give that special someone (who's turning 40 this year, hahaha!), or just something that you've always had on your bucket list and want to finally try it, call The Boudoir Dolls. I promise you, it will all be something to celebrate!
