How-To: eyebrows

I'll let you in on a little secret. I like make up. But I don't like putting it on. Partly it's because I don't like spending time to do so (read: I'd rather do something else) or it's just too hot to wear. (I finally understand what non-comedogenic makeup is.)

So when Michelle of My Mom Friday invited the SoMoms to a makeup 101 session by BYS makeup, I didn't think twice and just said yes!!

This was what greeted me that morning!! I was so excited to play!!

My Yoga Journey

Anyone who knows me knows that I have been an on-again-off-again yogi.  My estimate is that I have been doing yoga (on and off) for the past 6-7 years, but because I haven't been a regular, I've probably gone less than a year, cumulatively.  HAHAHA!

The present time finds me at a studio near home -- Bliss Yoga Manila (Greenhills).

Lost my Mojo

I think I've lost my blogging mojo.  I used to write all the time when the kids were younger.  Is it because I felt that I had so much more to share then?  Is it because Facebook and Twitter are around now so  I feel that one to two sentences or 140 characters are enough to share what is on my mind?  Is it because the kids are much older now that the experiences are few and far between?  Is it because I have been a bad mother and haven't been hanging around them much?

The instant satisfaction I get when I share a line or two over other social networking sites is probably it. I get much more comments compared to my blog (fine, fine, fine, it's because I don't blog!), and quite instantaneous at that.

Expo Mom 2013: MOMtuition

I've long been a staunch Attachment Parenting advocate since I started reading Dr Sears.  I realised that it made sense to bond closely in the beginning so you get to know each other very well -- which is why I feel that breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping is very important.  I truly believe that if you are able to form those close bonds with your child early on, you will be able to be steps ahead of him or her in terms of knowing what to expect.

Have you ever had that nagging feeling telling you to do something, like, perhaps, taking your child to the doctor, even if your child seems to just have a cough?  This happened to a friend of mine, a co-SoMom, Jenny Reyes (My Mommyology).  True enough, it was good that she took her daughter to the doctor, because it turned out that Jamie had (early stages of) pneumonia!

Tuwâ -- The Laughing Fish

A couple of Sundays ago, a few of my friends and I did a day trip to Tuwâ, the Laughing Fish.  Tuwâ is a green bed and breakfast place just at the border of Pampanga and Nueva Ecija.  This place leave zero carbon footprint as it uses the sun for its energy needs.

It was certainly an eye-opener for me, and I truly admire Penelope Reyes and John Vermeulen, owners, for showing me that it is possible to chose a truly conscious lifestyle that takes climate change and Mother Earth into consideration.

Blõ me away!

Last Saturday found me at a new salon in Rockwell.  The SoMoms were invited to the opening of Blõ (there are supposed to be two squiggles on top but I only know how to make one!)!!

I felt like a star walking into the salon!  Look:
